Pääsiäisseminaari 18.-20.4.2014

TERVETULOA VAASAAN VIETTÄMÄÄN PÄÄSIÄISTÄ
Pääsiäinen sekä pääsiäisseminaari lähestyvät. Seminaarin teemana on lunastus ja lunastettu elämä (Mark. 10:45). Kristus on ostanut verellään meidät vapaaksi synnin rangaistuksesta ja maailmasta. Koska Hän maksoi meistä täydet lunnaat, meidän ei tarvitse tehdä hyviä töitä, jotta saisimme iankaikkisen elämän.

Kun uskomme Kristuksen lunastustyöhön, hengellinen elämämme alkaa. Tämä uusi elämämme on lunastettua elämää. Kristuksen elämä ja esimerkki antavat mallin lunastetulle elämälle. Pääsiäisen aika on hieno mahdollisuus miettiä omakohtaisesti näitä totuuksia.

Tänä vuonna meillä on etuoikeus pitää vierainamme kahta pääpuhujaa, tohtori Richard Grubbsia ja tohtori Mikael Tollia. Tohtori Grubbs on toiminut kymmenien vuosien ajan pastorina ja seurakuntien perustajana sekä työskennellyt professorina Dallasin teologisessa seminaarissa. Viime vuodet hän on auttanut paikallisia seurakuntia teologisen koulutuksen järjestämisessä.

Tohtori Toll onkin meille suomalaisille tuttu vävypoikamme, Tukholman Raamattu Puhuu –seurakunnan johtava pastori. Muutamia vuosia sitten hän suoritti Luther Rice Universityssä tohtorin tutkinnon seurakunnan johtamisesta.

Tervetuloa kuulemaan lunastuksesta ja Lunastajasta.

Nähdään Vaasassa pääsiäisenä,

Tero Fredriksson, pastori

Saturday School for Adults

The course is open for everyone who wants to have better understanding of God and the things that define the life of our church. Especially we encourage to participate if you are fairly new to our church or you are currently serving in some team in our church.

Everything begins with who God is. That's why we will first study how God is seen in our church, based on the witness of the Bible. Finally, in last three sessions we will learn what are the essentials of spiritual life and the role of the local church.

Every session will consist of two parts which are an hour each. In the first part we will cover topic of the day as a lesson. In the second part we will discuss together issues relating to the topic or otherwise interact with the topic at hand.

Itsenäisyyspäivä / Finland's Independence Day

Hyvät ystävät,

Meillä on etuoikeus viettää Suomen itsenäisyyspäivää 6. joulukuuta (perjantai) kello 17.00 alkaen seurakunnassamme.

Dear Friends,

We have a great privilege to spend Finland’s Independence Day on 6th of December (Friday) at 5 pm in our Church. In our program we have music presentations, message and fellowship. Finland has been a great place to born, immigrate and live for many years. The coat of arms of Finland is a lion. The lion is a picture of Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ who is our true king. As long as Christ is our king, our freedom and success is guaranteed. The role of the Christians is crucial so things can continue that way. Let’s gather to together and pray for the land where we live.

With many blessings

Tero Fredriksson, Pastor

Dear Church Members

Dear Friends,

I submit to you that today is the best day to commit yourself to the Great Commission. We have freedom of religion with all the mass media available for us. We shouldn’t have too many hindrances to outreach. The best outreach of course is the personal contact to an unbeliever (Romans 10:17). Unbelievers need someone "with skin on." They need someone that can help them to know God and how our God is operating in the world. Discipleship is possible to all believers through knowing him. We need to decide to grow as his disciples and part of this growth is to help others to become disciples. When we do this we are executing the Great Commission through our lives (Matt 28:18-20).

In these days we must ask the question: what I can do for the kingdom of God, who I can execute the great Commission through my life? Maybe you have a friend who is lonely or who doesn’t have a Church maybe he or she does not even believe in God. Maybe you have friend who has withdrawn from the fellowship. Now its time to pick up the phone, send a short message or encouragement through the social media and invite your friend to the Church.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" (Isa 52:7)

Let’s harvesting together

Seurakunta ja tulevaisuus -seminaari

Vaasan Raamattu Puhuu seurakunta järjestää teologista opetusta seminaarissa, jonka teemana Seurakunta ja tulevaisuus. Seminaarin ajankohta on 31.10 - 3.11.2013.

Teemaseminaari on laadittu kahden tärkeän opin ympärille, oppi seurakunnasta ja oppi viimeisistä tapahtumista. Nämä opit liittyvät toisiinsa oleellisesti. Erityisesti nämä teemat kytkeytyvät yhteen nykyaikana, koska monet ajan merkit viittaavat Kristuksen pikaiseen paluuseen.

Jos kiinnoistuit, lue lisää ja ilmoittaudu mukaan seminaarisivuillamme osoitteessa ggwo.fi/seminaari/.

Vaasa Greater Grace Church will host theological education in themed seminar. The theme of the seminar is The Church and the Future. Seminar will be held 31.10 - 3.11.2013.

This themed seminar is built around two important doctrines, the doctrine of the church and the doctrine of the end times. These doctrines are essentially associated with each other. They are especially connected together in these times, because many signs of the times indicate that Christ will be returning soon.

Dear beloved in Jesus,
Greetings from Guntur, India.
Hope you are doing well. Thank you for your prayers and your love.
We are glad that the Lord has given us the wonderful opportunity of serving Him. Last week on April 22nd and 23rd we had the privilege of doing a gospel outreach in four villages. We went as a team of six members from Guntur and four people were added to our team in the village of Batluru. A former student from the orphanage by the name ‘Sivaiah’ and his wife hosted us in the village of Batluru. Sivaiah is working as a registered medical practitioner in this village.

Totally ten of us went from house to house distributing the tracts and verbally explaining the gospel to the people. We printed a new tract in Telugu which is especially targeted to people from Hindu religion, and it appeals to them, challenges their belief system and presents Jesus Christ as the answer to the problem of sin and eternal punishment.

The first day was spent wholly in the village of Batluru and we had a gospel meeting in the night in the same village. There was heavy rain in the morning and we thought that it would be a hindrance to visit every house. But God turned it into a blessing, as the people who had gone to work in the fields around the village came back to their houses and stayed there the whole day because they were unable to work when it was raining. So we had more people than usual, and we took the opportunity and did not stop visiting the houses even in the rain.

We met many people who showed an interest in Jesus Christ, many of the them responded positively. There were a few arguments with some. But overall we were glad with the experience. Some of us learnt some new things as to how to present the gospel to different people.

A person came to us and said that he wanted us to pray for him as he was suffering from a physical infirmity. We counseled him and told him that getting healed from ‘spiritual sickness’ was more important than physical healing and taught the gospel to him. In Andhra Pradesh there is a lot of emphasis on healing and miracles rather than the Truth about Jesus Christ.

After the night gospel meeting, we were invited by a higher-caste Hindu (Brahmin) family to speak in their house. About 15 people gathered in that house. They had some superstitious ideas about Jesus Christ and we corrected them and told them the true reason why Jesus had come into this world.

On the second day 23rd April we visited three villages namely ‘Gorantla’, ‘Kumparlapadu’ and ‘Rentapaalla’. This day was really hot. We went from house to house sharing the Gospel. We encountered some opposition. Some people said “We are not proclaiming our gods to you, then why are you proclaiming your God to us?” They returned back some of the tracts that we had given to them.

We thank you for letting us share our ministry experiences. We also thank you for your support and prayers and we hope that the Lord will use us together increasingly for His purposes in future.

Please pray for the ministry in Andhra Pradesh in which about 84 million people live.

66.5% of the total population (about 56 million) still lives in rural areas (villages). There are about 28,000 villages in our state. Our desire is to reach every village in the state of Andhra Pradesh with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thanking you,
In Jesus Christ,
Brother Philip Samuel.
