Pohjanmaan Raamattukoulu

Pohjanmaan Raamattukoulu on Vaasan Raamattu Puhuu -seurakunnan yhteydessä toimiva kristillinen oppilaitos. Koulun tarkoitus on auttaa Jumalan tuntemisen avulla uskovia löytämään kutsumuksensa pastoreina, lähetystyöntekijöinä tai seurakuntatyöntekijöinä ja valmistaa maalikkoja elämään normaalia kristillistä elämää arjen eri tilanteissa.

Pohjanmaan Raamattukoulussa uskomme, että kaiken totuuden, tiedon ja viisauden perusta on Jumalan Sana, Raamattu. Rohkenemme väittää raamattukoulun olevan koulutuksen korkein muoto.

TUTKINNOT

Pohjanmaan Raamattukoulussa voi suorittaa 15 opintopisteen laajuisen perustutkinnon. Opinnot voi aloittaa minkä lukukauden alussa tahansa ja seuraavan kahden vuoden aikana on mahdollista suorittaa kaikki valmistumiseen vaadittavat kurssit.

Suoritettavat kurssit vastaavat sisällöltään ja laajuudeltaan Pohjoismaisen Raamattu koulun ja Maryland Bible College and Seminaryn opinto-ohjelman mukaisia kursseja, joten ne ovat sellaisenaan sisällytettävissä mainittujen oppilaitosten tutkintoihin.

Ihmisen syntisyys: koko ihmiskunta on täysin syntinen Jumalan edessä ja kykenemätön ansaitsemaan pelastusta.

Jeesuksen sijaiskuolema

Jeesuksen ruumiillinen ylösnouseminen.

Jumalan oikeudenmukainen tuomio

Pelastus

Pelastus tapahtuu armosta uskon kautta ilman omia tekoja.

Pelastuksen peruuttamattomuus

Pelastunut ei menetä pelastustaan. Jumalan lapsi ei voi menettää lapsen asemaansa, vaan joutuu Jumalan kurituksen alle, jos elää synnissä.
(Hepr. 12:5-9, Room. 8:29-30, Joh. 10:28-29, Fil. 1:6, Hepr. 13:5)

Inspiraatio

Raamattu on kokonaan Jumalan inspiroima. Tämä inspiraatio kattaa alkutekstin jokaisen sanan ja kirjaimen sekä takaa Raamatun erehtymättömyyden. Raamattu on Jumalan lopullinen ilmoitus, eikä ole muita kirjoituksia, jotka ovat samassa mielessä inspiroituja. (Matt. 5:18-19, Apt. 14:14, 2. Tim. 3:16, Joh. 10:35, Joh. 17:17)

Kolminaisuus

Yksi Jumala on olemassa kolmessa persoonassa. Isä, Poika ja Pyhä Henki kukin omistavat jumaluuden kaikki attribuutit ja ovat eri Persoonia. (Jes. 44:6, Joh. 1:1, 1. Kor. 8:6, 2. Kor. 3:17,
2. Kor. 13:13, Jes. 48:16)

Jeesuksen persoona

Jeesus syntyi neitsyestä ja eli synnittömän elämän. Hän oli yhtä aikaa täysin Jumala ja täysin ihminen ilman, että Hänen inhimillinen ja jumalallinen luontonsa sekoittuivat toisiinsa.
(Matt. 1:18-25, Hepr. 4:15, Joh. 1:1, 14, 1. Tim. 2:5)

Seurakunta

Jokainen uudestisyntynyt uskova on osa maailmanlaajuista Kristuksen ruumista (1. Kor. 12:13, Ef. 1:22-23). Paikallisseurakunnan tarkoitus on rakentaa uskovia ja evankelioida.

Vesikaste

Kasteella käydään uskoon tulemisen jälkeen. Kaste ei saa aikaan syntien anteeksisaamista, vaan usko Jeesukseen. (Matt. 28:19)

Ehtoollinen

Ehtoollista vietetään Jeesuksen sovituskuoleman muistoksi.
(Luuk. 22:19-20)

Kristuksen tuomioistuin

Heti tempauksen jälkeen seurakunta tulee tuomittavaksi Kristuksen tuomioistuimelle. Tämä tuomio ei johda kenenkään iankaikkiseen kadotukseen, vaan tuomiolla Jumala palkitsee uskovia heidän vaelluksestaan maan päällä.
(Luuk. 14:14, 1. Kor. 3:11-15, 2 Kor. 5:10).

Enkelit

Kaikki enkelit, sekä pyhät että langenneet, ovat Jumalan luomia, persoonallisia olentoja. Saatana on langennut enkeli, jonka Jumala alunperin loi hyväksi, mutta joka lankesi omasta valinnastaan.
(1. Piet. 1:12, Luuk. 8:28-33, Luuk. 10:18, Kol. 1:16).

Jeesuksen toinen tuleminen

Jeesus tulee tempaamaan seurakuntansa taivaaseen ennen ahdistuksen aikaa, jolloin Jumala vuodattaa vihansa maan päälle. Tämä ahdistuksen aika päättyy siihen, että Jeesus palaa ruumiillisesti maan päälle perustamaan tuhatvuotisen valtakunnan. (1. Tess. 4:15-5:10, Ilm. 6-19, Apt. 1:11)

Seurakunnan perustaminen

Raamattu Puhuu -seurakunta perustettiin Vaasaan vuoden 1997 alussa, jolloin sen pastorina toimi Juha Haatanen. Seurakunta aloitti kotikokouksilla, johon kokoontui pieni joukko ihmisiä sunnuntai-aamuisin kuuntelemaan Jumalan Sanaa. Hieman myöhemmin aloimme kokoontua myös keskiviikkoisin raamattutunneille. Nykyään kokoonnumme toimitilassamme Vaasan keskustan tuntumassa kolme kertaa viikossa. Kokoukset muodostavat opetus- ja julistustoimintamme rungon.

SEURAKUNTA TÄNÄÄN

Aloittaessamme seurakuntamme täällä Vaasassa meillä ei ollut tavoitteita suurista ihmisjoukoista. Tarkoituksemme oli vain palvella Jumalaa. Jumala on ollut meille uskollinen ja antanut meille enemmän kuin toivoimmekaan. Seurakuntamme koostuu ihmisistä, jotka Jumala on omin käsin poiminut maailmasta. Olemme joukko ihmisiä eri kansallisuuksista, ammateista ja taustoista, mutta ennen kaikkea uskovia, joiden elämässä on tapahtunut Jumalan työtä. Myönteinen muutos ei olisi ollut meille inhimillisesti katsoen koskaan mahdollista, vaan haluamme antaa siitä kunnian Kristukselle ja hänen ruumiilleen eli seurakunnalle, missä Hän itse on pää ja me Hänen jäseniään.

Seurakunnassamme on kokousten lisäksi monia työmuotoja, joissa jokainen voi kokea erityisellä tavalla Jumalan rakkautta ja saa mahdollisuuden kasvaa Jumalan tuntemisessa Hänen Sanansa kautta. Tervetuloa joukkoomme. Jokaiselle löytyy paikka kasvaa ja tulla rakastetuksi.

Raamattu Puhuu –seurakunta on elävä Raamattuun uskova kristillinen seurakunta, joka toimii Vaasan lisäksi Suomessa kuudella paikkakunnalla. Korostamme opetuksessamme Kristuksen sovitustyötä ja armon merkitystä hengellisessä elämässä. Olet tervetullut osallistumaan toimintaamme ja kasvamaan Jumalan tuntemisessa.

Olemme joukko ihmisiä eri kansallisuuksista, ammateista ja taustoista, mutta ennen kaikkea uskovia, joiden elämässä Jumala on keskeisellä paikalla. Seurakunnassamme on kokousten lisäksi monia työmuotoja, joissa jokainen voi kokea erityisellä tavalla Jumalan rakkautta ja saa mahdollisuuden kasvaa Jumalan tuntemisessa Hänen Sanansa ja palvelemisen kautta. Raamattu Puhuu –seurakunta perustettiin Vaasaan vuoden 1997 alussa, jolloin sen pastorina toimi Juha Haatanen. Nykyisin kokoonnumme toimitilassamme Vaasan keskustan tuntumassa kolme kertaa viikossa. Kokoukset muodostavat opetus- ja julistustoimintamme rungon.

The founding of the church

The GGWO-church in Vaasa was founded at the beginning of 1997, and at that time the church’s pastor was Juha Haatanen. The church started off with meetings in homes, where a small group of people gathered on Sunday mornings to listen to the Word of God. A little later we started to gather also on Wednesdays. From September 1997 we rented our accommodation, Forum, at Rauhankatu 8. We left the address at 31th of December 2011. After that all our weekly gatherings are at Methodist Church at Rauhankatu 12. Today we gather three times a week. The meetings form the basis of our teaching and preaching activity.

THE CHURCH TODAY

When we started our church here in Vaasa we did not have any goals to form big groups of people. Our purpose was only to serve God. God has been faithful to us, and He has given us more than we even hoped for. Our church consists of people who God has picked with His own hands from the world. We are a group of different nationalities, occupations and backgrounds, but before all we are believers in whose life God's work has happened. The positive change would never have been naturally possible for us, but we want to give the glory to Christ and His body, i.e. the church, where He is the head and we are His limbs. In addition to the meetings we have other activities in our church, where everyone can experience God's love in a special way and gets a possibility to know God better through His Word. Welcome to join us. There is a place for everyone to grow and be loved.

Doctrinal Statement

About the Bible

All Scripture contained in the Old and New Testaments is verbally, plenarily, and inerrantly inspired by God. It is the authoritative guide for all Christian understanding, life and ministry.

About God

There is but one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is infinite, eternal, and almighty.

About Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son, is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and He lived a sinless life. He died, shedding His blood in His substitutionary death for sinners, then was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, Who is Lord and giver of life, convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and unites man to Jesus Christ by faith. We believe the Holy Spirit seals and indwells all believers. The filling of the Holy Spirit is not an unconditional promise to all believers; the indwelling is.

About man

Man was created in the image and likeness of God. It was by man's free volition that he disobeyed God, incurring physical and spiritual death (separation from God). Each human being is born with a sin nature. Because of this each human is a sinner by nature and is in need of a divine salvation.

About salvation

Salvation is a gift from God. This was accomplished by Christ's substitutionary death; all who believe in Him are justified by the shedding of His blood. Because salvation is given by grace, the believer's salvation is eternally secure.

About the Baptism

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is sent upon all who believe in Jesus Christ. This takes place in each believer at the moment of salvation. Continual infilling may follow. Each gift given by the Holy Spirit is for the edification of the Body of Christ, and is still present today.

About the Great Commission

We believe that the fulfillment of the Great Commission is the responsibility of all believers.

About the church

The church is the body and the bride of Christ. It is dedicated to the worship and service of God and the observance of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. The primary task of the church in all ages is to teach all nations and to make disciples through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

About eternity

Christ will return to rapture His church. Immediately following this event will be the seven-year tribulation period. Concluding this, Christ will come again to the earth and establish His rule for a 1,000 year period. The Great White Throne judgment of the unsaved, coupled with Satan being cast into the lake of fire, will then allow Christ to establish a New Heaven and a New Earth. This is the consummation of all things. There is but one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is infinite, eternal, and almighty.

Osthrobotnia Bible College

Osthrobotnia Bible College (Pohjanmaan Raamattukoulu) is a service to the Body of Christ by providing graduates with a biblical education that supplies the spiritual and educational resources to prepare and train others for their spiritual vocation and profession.
We believe that the premise to truth, knowledge, and wisdom is found in and imparted through the inspired Word of God. The Word communicates the reason for the school's existence, its organization, direction, content of its curriculum, and its motivation for service.
The Word also communicates that man is made in the image of God for the expressed purpose of knowing and glorifying Him. Man cannot know or honor God because he is a sinner by nature and choice. But God graciously gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to save a lost humanity. Those who respond to His saving grace receive the Holy Spirit who fills, blesses, and illuminates truth to the believer.

One cannot have wisdom apart from knowing God. The inspired Word of God declares Him to be the truth and depositary of all wisdom and knowledge. He is our provision for life and conduct, and He is our Master Teacher. He has gifted and trained teachers to communicate divine viewpoint and its relationship to the natural sciences and one's self-image. An individual's success in life is dependent upon a healthy respect for God, receipt of the revelation of His grace, and obedience to His Word. The College and the ministry from which it springs are distinctive in their teaching of the revelation and application of grace.

INTRODUCTION TO VAASA CHURCH

Greater Grace World Outreach is a Bible-centered ministry that seeks to help individuals and families grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We preach the Gospel and the whole counsel of God from a Finished Work perspective. We are a Christ-centered church that believes and practices the cardinal doctrines of the faith.

In addition to the regular weekly program we arrange seminars, crusades and temporal outreaches. The purpose of all events is to help people grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Different forms of ministries are the women’s ministry, the men's ministry, the student ministry and the Bible College.
