Visiting Jyväskylä conference 2010 - Käynti Jyväskylän seminaarissa 2010

In my opinion, the seminar in Jyväskylä was way too short! We left Vaasa on Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday. Guest speaker, Pastor James Morrison is now the pastor of the oldest Church in our Greater Grace World Outreach body, located in Marlborough, MA, USA. The whole weekend was filled with sound Biblical teachings which were easy to understand yet had depth.

Perheretki Öjbergetille 2010Family trip to Öjberg

Elokuun parhaita ilmoja salli Herra meille ja olimme Vaasan länsipuolella retkellä. Paikka on nimeltään Öjberget. Komea nimi vaikka ei se nyt mikään vuori olekaan varsinaisesti. Paikkahan syntyi n. 500 miljoona vuotta taaksepäin, kun meteoriitti törmäsi maahan viereisellä Söderfjärden nimisellä paikalla. Öjberget syntyi siitä massasta mikä siirtyi meteoriitin edestä.

It was one of the finest autum evenings when we headed our trip west of Vasa. We visited place named Öjberget (Fieldmountain?) And our Lord provided us the most beautiful weather also. The place was borned for 500 million years ago when a meteorite hit the earth on that near by field called Söderfjärden.

Kesäseminaarissa - Summer conferens

Kesän kohokohta oli myös tänä vuonna onnistunut ja antoisa Kiljavan kesäseminaari. Paikalla oli paljon seurakuntiemme väkeä monesta maasta ja saimme kuulla ja nähdä paljon hyvää ohjelmaa. Teemana oli "Jumalan Henki ihmisessä".

The higpoint of this summer was once again the annual summer meeting in Kiljava. Many people from all of our churches were there and we could enjoy of much music and preaching. Main theme was "Gods Spirit in human".

Perheretkellä - On family trip

Raippaluodon sillan viereisellä retkeilypisteellä vietimme todella hienossa säässä iltaa. Paikalle tuli runsaasti seurakunnan väkeä ja kaikilla tuntui olevan todella hauskaa. Olihan meille annettu mitä kaunein ilma ja rukouksiimme oli näin Herra vastannut.

Beside the Replot Bridge we had a very nice time. Weather was most beautiful and quite many did come to this trip. Everybody enjoyed the time together. And our God answered our prayers by giving us so beautiful weather.

Ja koska ollaan Suomessa niin makkaraa! piti tietysti saada grillattua. Ja sitä olikin sitten paljon. Kaikki saivat mahansa täyteen ja ilta menikin siinä sitten mukavissa merkeissä. Saimme kuulla myös historiaa Raippaluodon sillasta sekä muutamia raamatun tarinoita vesistöistä ja näin ilta kului nopeaan.

And because we are in Finland we need to get a lot of "makkara" in the grill. And we had it so much so everybody got their stomage full of very good "makkara". We also heard some interesting stories about this Replot Bridge and some stories relative from bible. And evening went very quickly.

Ulkoilmaretki - Open air trip 2.7.2010

We are going out to nature and having worship meeting in the open air on 2nd July this summer. There we will have a very nice program and we also eat what we catch from the sea. And as a backup we will take saucages with us so in case there isnt any luck with the fishing we wont starve. The place is that longest bridge in Finland. It is located ca. 5 miles from Vasa to north. We travel there with our cars and start is 6 o´clock from our church.

Olemme menossa 2. pvä heinäkuuta Raippaluodon sillalle. Siellä pidämme ulkoilmakokouksen ja kalastamme sekä grillaamme nuotiossa joko saalistamme tai grillimakkarat.
